Average Priority 1 Response Time
Monitors the time it takes for an officer to arrive at a priority one call for service (from dispatch receipt of 911 call to officer arrival on scene). The intent is to provide rapid response to emergency calls for service; containment of critical incidents and increased opportunity to identify and arrest offenders.
Based on historical data. Also compared with prior year Benchmark Cities Survey average to insure we are reaching a higher standard.
Consistent with June 2017, June of 2019 saw slightly higher than normal overall response times. In both instances, daytime response for the month of June were increased. The small rise may be attributed to a larger call load, general congestion (day time population & construction) as well as the time of year (summer).
