Citizen satisfaction with the maintenance of City parks (Q19_1) (2Q & 4Q)
Every quarter, the City of Olathe has survey company ETC Institute conduct a statistically valid satisfaction survey of randomly selected Olathe residents. Approximately 500 survey responses are collected each quarter, and this is well above the 300 responses approximately needed for statistical validity on a population the size of Olathe.
This is a question that is asked during just quarters 2 and 4 each year. It determines the overall citizen satisfaction with the Parks & Recreation Department's maintenance of City Parks. Survey respondents have deisgnated the maintenance of City Parks as the number one priority in Parks & Recreation that should receive the most emphasis over the next two years.
The target is set at 90% based on historical data.
In 4Q 2018, satisfaction with park maintenance in Olathe increased 3%. Satisfaction with park maintenance in Olathe remains above target in 2019, 18% above the KC regional average, and more than 20% above the national average.
