The development of this measure is currently under construction. Staff is working to develop a methodology that will accurately measure Olathe's performance in order to achieve the goals outlined in Olathe 2040:Future Ready. 

The Origin-Destination Trip Index will be an entirely new measure created by the City that will observe how many trips beginning in Olathe also end in Olathe without leaving the City limits. With new development, the City aims to make Olathe a one-stop shop for shopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc. with residents not having a consistent need to leave the City for goods and services. As new and unique development increases in Olathe, this index will hopefully increase as residents live, shop, and play in Olathe.
