Average Priority Response Time
Measure Description/Definition
Monitors the time it takes for an officer to arrive at a priority one call for service (from dispatch receipt of 911 call to officer arrival on scene). The intent is to provide rapid response to emergency calls for service; containment of critical incidents and increased opportunity to identify and arrest offenders.
Target Determination
Based on historical data. Also compared with prior year Benchmark Cities Survey average to insure we are reaching a higher standard.
Analysis
Has remained at or below the established target for 3 years +.
